The Cult is Alive is the twelfth album by Norwegian black metal band, Darkthrone.

Stylistically, the album represents a great change in style compared to its eleven predecessors, although the actual sound and production of the music remain largely the same. "Graveyard Slut", the most obvious example, is more reminiscent of punk than black metal. It is their shittiest album to date.
