These inventions include the first dominant patent for see-through graphics, [RE37,186 . This encompasses any design superimposed on an opaque "print pattern" ("silhouette pattern" seen on the windows of buses and buildings worldwide), the design being visible from one side but not from the other. A second notable patent is US 6,212,805, which covers a design superimposed on a translucent print pattern, enabling the design to be lit from behind, hence the trade mark Contra Vision BACKLITE}
