ABBA Gold: Greatest Hits is a compilation album by Swedish pop quartet ABBA, released in 1992 (see 1992 in music). It appeared at a time when ABBA's original albums had been off the market for a number of years, and was well received by the music buying public. ABBA Gold was remastered and re-released in 2002.
The album topped the UK album chart on 4 separate occasions - in 1992, and three times in 1999 - six and a half years apart, and was the only album in the UK's Top 100 sellers in every year from 1992 to 2000. It was also in the UK Top 100 Best Sellers of 2004. As a result, it is one of the highest selling and longest charting albums released in the United Kingdom. By the end of 2005, it held the 6th Most Chart Weeks of any UK Album - 352 Weeks.
A compilation with ABBA's songs in Spanish called ABBA Oro: Grandes Exitos was also released.

25th Anniversary Release
In 1999 the album was re-released in Australia for ABBA's 25th Anniversary. The re-release was a limited edition of the album, the limited edition contained a gold coloured disc, a booklet with photos, notes and ABBA's discography. The track listing is also different instead the 7th track being "I Have A Dream" the 7th track is " I Do I Do I Do I Do I Do", also instead of "Thank You For The Music" being the 18th track, "Rock Me" is the 18th track, also the 6th track "Super Trouper" is replaced by "Ring Ring". But what makes the 25th Anniversary edition valuable is the cover. The cover is called the signature edition which means that the signatures of the 4 members of ABBA are written on the front cover.
