Christiane Woopen
Christiane Woopen (born 12 December 1962) is a German medical ethicist. She is a professor for ethics and theory of medicine at the University of Cologne since 2009. Furthermore, she has been a member of the German Ethics Council since 2001, its deputy Chair from 2008 and Chair since 2012[1].
Professional Background
▪ 2014 – 2016 President of the Global Summit of National Ethics/Bioethics Committees to be held in Berlin from 16 to 18 March 2016[2] with more than 110 countries of the world participating (last summit in Mexico: 57 countries)
