Due to [[OFCOM]] restrictions, channels like Revelation TV which operate from the UK cannot ask for funds on air. Revelation TV is a UK Christian television channel that was started by Howard and Lesley Conder in 2003. The channel's origional number was Sky channel '676' but due to a recent Sky EPG shuffle it has moved to channel '765'.

Revelation is unique for a Christian channel because of its high amount of self-created programming. They regulary produce their own shows such as World In Focus, Church In Focus and R-Mornings.

They also feature many programmes discussing the end times and the nation of Israels role in it. They are strong supporters of Zionism and regulary feature appearances from Messianic Jews. The channel is highly multi-cultural with participation from black and Asian Christians. Lately they have had quite a bit of programming from Arab Christians.

Revelation TV had a popular forum that was suspended due to a small minority of users slagging off others.

rmusictv On Monday April 3rd 2006 Revelation TV launched its own music channel, called 'rmusictv' the channel on channel number 370 on the UK Sky Network. The channel's aim is to provide what it calls "positive music", a playlist free from the negative influences of sex, violence and worldly values. Many of the songs derive from various branches of Christian music though it is largely Contemporary Christian Music. Much of the music on the channel is broadcasted live from the Revelation TV studios in London.

The Key shows on the channel are "Out the Box", a show featuring a mix of contemporary styles of Christian music, "UK Gospel Live" a show dedicated to bringing the best in Live Gospel Music acts from the UK and finally "Rchart hits", the channels own chart show.

Criticism Some people are concerned that Revelation TV is unhealthily biased towards the state of Israel by seeming to accept uncritically everything that Israel does. Some worry that the channels Zionism will isolate other groups (such as Arabs). Revelation TV has also been accused of promoting a right-wing agenda in general with a strongly conservative view of homosexuality and fierce criticism of Islam and other religions.

The channel's promotion of ministries such as those of Bishop Michael Reid and Benny Hinn has also caused a stir in some circles but it should be remembered that there is a difference in theology with some schools of thought teaching that we are not living "in a day of miracles" whilst others teach of God being the same yesterday today and forever ie miracles can occur nowadays.

Evangelical Christians might be concerned at the focus on Contemporary Christian Music as well as the selling out of advertising to secular networks but this is due to OFCOM restrictions.

Challenges Due to OFCOM restrictions, channels like Revelation TV which operate from the UK cannot ask for funds on air. However other channels primarily broadcasting from the US regularly ask for donations from viewers. Some people claim that such restrictions contradict the UKs liberal democratic tradition, especially given apparently more liberal attitude that Ofcom displays towards pornographic television.
