The Tecnam P2012 Traveller is a new high-winged, twin piston engined multi-role aircraft currently being developed by Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam, which is based in Capua, Italy (near Naples).[1] It is designed to be compliant with both FAR part 23 and EASA CS-23 regulations. Cape Air, the Massachusetts-based regional airline is partnering with Tecnam on the design.[2]
Cape Air have signed a letter of intent to order 100 aircraft to replace Cessna 402s. Three prototypes of the high-wing, fixed landing-gear twin-engined Traveller are under construction at Capua near Naples, roll-out of the first aircraft is expected in March 2016.[3]
