The Journal of Innovation in Health Informatics is a peer-reviewed open-access medical journal that accepts articles covering advances in medical informatics. The journal sits at the intersection of computing information science, management and health. The journal is supported by the British Computer Society, the Chartered Institute for IT and is the flagship journal of the BCS Health Executive who support the BCS Health Special Interest group.

Its focus is on informatics research from the front lines of health care and how informatics can support innovation in health and health care.
JoIiHi is the unofficial acronym of the Journal is Journal of Innovation in Health informatics - N.B. the third letter is a capital "i" and not an "L"
History
The journal was established in 1995 as Informatics in Primary Care until the name was changed in 2015 to reflect its broader scope. The journal's new name was announced in 2015, for more details see: Journal of Innovation in Health Informatics: building on the 20-year history of a BCS Health peer review journal.
