Route description

State Route 104 traverses Baldwin County along a two-lane road. The route originates near Mobile Bay, traveling eastwardly across the west-central and central part of the county. The route serves as a connecting route between Fairhope and Robertsdale; for motorists traveling westwardly, the route serves as one of several routes that can be used to lead from Alabama’s beaches along the Gulf of Mexico towards Mobile.

History

The western terminus of State Route 104 was truncated in the mid-1950s. Prior to then, the route continued northward from Fairhope to a junction with U.S. Highway 90 at Daphne.[1][2] By 1957, the section of the route between Fairhope and Daphne was redesignated at U.S. Highway 98.

Major intersections

The entire route is in Baldwin County.
