Carlotta Montanari is an Italian film actress and producer, former TV host and journalist. Was born in Rimini, Italy. Made her professional artistic debut at an early age by acting and hosting for the major national networks while appearing in commercials and films. As a child, being a true animal lover Carlotta originally wanted to be a veterinarian but ended up following her passion for acting. She started acting on Konstantin Stanislavsky system with her first acting teacher and mentor Beatrice Bracco [1] in Rome, argentinian actress and director. Carlotta Montanari has been helping and supporting over the years several Charity Initiations, Events and Causes. Carlotta supported the America: A Tribute To Heroes charity telethon for victims of 9/11. Montanari performed by hosting various TV shows telethon to benefit Italian Red Cross, Gaslini Children's Hospital, and the global organization Save The Children, and the Leukemia Research. She is an active helper and supporter of Horse Rescues and Dog Rescues groups of California such as Dogs Without Borders, Angel's Heaven Ranch and Horse Rescue, and WWF. [5]


Early life

Carlotta Montanari was born in Rimini, Italy. [6] Her parents got married in 1976 in Rimini, and separated when she was about 7 years old, however both parents have been very present in her life. Carlotta has one older brother, Tomaso who she is very close to. Her father was in the construction field and her mother in the fashion business. Montanari grew up in a household with "little money", spent lot of time with her grandparents especially her grandmother Maria, born in 1929, who since very little Carlotta considered her best friend and second mother. Montanari and her brother attended the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows elementary school, in Riccione. Grew up with a strong passion for animals in particular horses and horse riding. After high school she attended and graduated with Master of Visual Arts at the Federico Fellini's Institute in Riccione, thereafter studied journalism and communication sciences in Rome. Therefore moved to Rome to study theater full time and attended Communication Sciences and Journalism at University Sapienza University of Rome while studying theater and working as TV host.[7]

Voice acting

Montanari lent her voice to numerous film, documentaries, audiobooks and video games. Carlotta is voice and motion capture of Sofia Sartor in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, [8] the Italian translator of Zumba Fitness. She interpreted Damiata Macchiavelli and narrated the audiobook The Malice Of Fortune by Michael Ennis. [9] Carlotta was one of the Italian translators of Soul Surfer by Sean McNamara, The Joneses by Derrick Borte, Flipped by Rob Reiner, The Vatican by Ridley Scott, and other contemporary movies. Montanari is the Italian narrator of the children's DVD series Early Lingo. [10]
