Release
Seduction reached No. 3 in the UK Indie Chart.[1]
In 2001 [Red Records] reissued Seduction as part of its Anagram Goth series. Fully-remastered and expanded to include the band's independent output, Seduction: The Society Collection collated early singles and tracks from their There is No Shame in Death single - though 'Dolphins' and the title track were omitted.
Critical reception
Trouser Press panned the album, calling it a "longwinded six-track 12-inch with busy Bauhaus-strength mud supporting sporadic vocals and gimmicky sound effects. Tuneless and tedious."[2]
