Michael Cart, born on March 6, 1941 in Logansport, Indiana is an author and expert in children's and young adult literature. He earned a degree in Library Science from Columbia University in 1964 and a degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. From 1964 to 1967 he served in the United States Army. [1] The author, or editor of numerous books and articles, he recieved the Grolier Award in 2000 and the inaugural recepient of the YALSA/Greenwood Publishing Group Service to Young Adults Award in 2008. [2]
