Basrief Arief (born January 23, 1947) was the Attorney General of Indonesia from November 26, 2010 until October 20, 2014. He was born in Tanjung Enim in South Sumatra.^[1]^[2]

The former Attorney General of Indonesia was responsible for advising the Government about legal issues. The Attorney General is also a Solicitor General. So, the Attorney General can represent the Government in the Supreme Court. The current Attorney General of Indonesia is Muhammad Prasetyo.
