A Merry Little Christmas is the first Christmas release by Canadian singer-songwriter Matt Brouwer.[2] The 7 song collection was released on December 7, 2010 through Universal Music Distribution. The album received a very positive reaction at Christian radio stations eager for some fresh new holiday music and has remained in heavy rotation at many stations across the US and Canada each December since it's release. Critics praised Brouwer's performance and vocals as well as the more jazz/pop arrangements of new and classic Christmas songs. The song, "Angels Sing", is an original composition written by Brouwer and a cover of the Goo Goo Dolls hit Better Days charted on the Billboard Christian chart in January 2011. Brouwer's version of the song was added to regular, non-seasonal CCM playlists at air 1 and KLOVE Christian stations throughout the following year.
