::::::: LOL, no I'm not asking you to do that. I think we're miscommunicating here. The citations references are for adding materials. You're 100% correct in what you're saying. I was giving you that reference for citations in general. I think we got away from the original point...Back to the original point...When you make the edit to remove it, in your comment, mention what source you're basing that info on. I'm not going to remove your edit again, but another editor might. If you have the relevant info there, it's less likely that someone else would remove your edit. That's all I was getting at. Super Caesars Palace

Hi, thanks for your message regarding my earlier edit omitting this game from Majesco's page. I have re-omitted the entry as I believe Majesco were credited in error at an earlier time. I'm still sort of getting used to how things work behind the scenes here, but thanks to you I shall be more studious about edit summaries in the future. If you need any more data on the edit in question please don't hesitate to contact me again. Many thanks and kind regards, Mandrogora.

No problem. It's not just about leaving a summary...but you also need sources to base your edits off. Making edits based on opinion, memory, etc aren't a good way to build an encyclopedia. So you would still need sources before making the edit again. My point was if you don't have a source to base your edits off, don't make them. If you are convinced you are right, then do your research, and find quality sources. Look at the Help page and other reference pages for help. RSTech1 (talk) 11:34, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I hope I have submitted enough citations in my new summary (five). From a purely academic perspective it is much harder to prove a negative rather than a positive. Nonetheless, I feel I've provided sufficient independent evidence to quiet the contrary position. Mandrogora (talk) 12:53, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure where you're saying that you added citations on the Majesco article. In your edit, there are exactly 0 references/citations. How are you saying that you have 5 citations? A citation means you are quoting a specific reference material and provide that info in the references section. See this: Citations RSTech1 (talk) 13:38, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
In the talk page for the Majesco article, under the heading Super Caesars Palace (link here). I don't see how I would add a citation (to the article itself) when I'm removing the part that would be germane to the citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mandrogora (talkcontribs) 13:06, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I think I just figured out what you mean, there's a little box called 'Edit summary' when you do an edit. Righto, duly noted chief. As I said above, full list of citations is in the talk page. There doesn't seem to be enough space in the edit summary box for the full list. Is this okay? Apologies, I've probably taken up more of your time than you would like already. I told you I was still getting used to it here. : ( Mandrogora (talk) 13:21, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You're getting closer, but not quite there. :) I see what you added to the Talk Page. That's good...You have sources. (I haven't reviewed each one.) That's just not where they go. That page is more for discussing potential edits with other editors before they get added. Think of it like a discussion page, or community rough draft. The citations need to go in the actual article. At the bottom of each article there is a "References" section. Did you check out that page I linked above? Citations Spend some time on that page...it has good info. Watch the videos. They help a lot. I haven't been that long either...just about 7 months...we're all learning. You're doing great...don't worry. It's far better that you spend time discussing and asking questions. You're not wasting my time...it's no problem at all. :) RSTech1 (talk) 13:39, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so you want me to add citations that reference a game to a page from which I've removed all references to that game? Yes, I know references go at the bottom of the page. I've made half a dozen perfectly well-referenced pages from scratch in the last several months. With a great deal of respect intended, you don't really seem to be getting what I'm trying to say. Should I add a sentence that says "it used to say Super Caesars Palace here, but that was a mistake so now it says this sentence instead." then put the references on that? I've never seen anything like that on Wikipedia before. I'm not trying to be facetious, I'm working really hard to understand what you're trying to say. I rewatched the citations videos and re-read the article. Not one word in them covers citations for deleting errata. I can't find any guidelines on the subject elsewhere either. Please help me understand, what is it that I'm missing? Mandrogora (talk) 15:28, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
