Konrad Reuland (born April 4, 1987- died December 12, 2016 ) was an American football tight end. He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He has also played for the New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, and Indianapolis Colts. He played college football at Stanford.[1] Ravens coach John Harbaugh started his press conference after the Ravens' Monday Night Football game vs the New England Patriots by stating that Reuland has passed away.
Professional career
San Francisco 49ers
Reuland signed as an undrafted free agent with the 49ers in 2011.
New York Jets
Reuland was claimed off waivers by the New York Jets on September 1, 2012.[2] Reuland was placed on the injured reserve list with a knee injury on November 19, 2013.[3]
Indianapolis Colts
Reuland signed with the Indianapolis Colts on October 21, 2014.[4]
Baltimore Ravens
Reuland was signed onto the Baltimore Ravens practice squad on November 12, 2014. On September 5, 2015, he was released by the Ravens.[5] On September 6, 2015, he was signed to the Ravens' practice squad.[6] On September 8, 2015, Reuland's practice squad contract was terminated by the Ravens.[7] On October 13, 2015, the Ravens re-signed Reuland to the practice squad.[8] On November 4, 2015, Reuland was released. On November 18, he was re-signed to the practice squad.[9] on December 8, 2015, the Ravens promoted Reuland to the active roster after Crockett Gilmore and Maxx Williams went down with injuries and Nick Boyle was suspended for the remainder of the season.
On May 23, 2016, the Baltimore Ravens rescinded Reuland's exclusive rights tender, effectively making him a free agent.
Second stint with the Colts
On July 31, 2016, Reuland was signed by the Colts.[10] On August 29, 2016, Reuland was released by the Colts.[11]
