Dr. Henry (Harry) Otto Brünjes FRSocMed (born 15 October 1954), physician and founder of the Premier Medical Group.[1] He has been a Fellow and Governor of the Expert Witness Institute since 2002, a Fellow of the Woodard Corporation since 2004, a Founding Fellow of The College of Medicine (2009) and currently its Vice-President.[1] He was Chairman of Rapid Trauma and Assessment (2000-06), the Personal Injury Forum of Bupa (2004-07) and Newmans Clinics (2011-).[1]

Early Life

Brünjes was born in Norwich on 15 October 1954, the son of Harry Brünjes of The Singing Scott Brothers. He was educated at Bedford Modern School, St Thomas's Hospital Medical School and Guy’s Hospital Medical School.

Career

In 1995, Brünjes founded the Premier Medical Group becoming Chairman in 2007. The business was sold in 2010 to Capita for £60 million.[2][3]

As well as his role at Premier Medical Group Brünjes has been a Fellow and Governor of the Expert Witness Institute since 2002, a Fellow of the Woodard Corporation since 2004, a Founding Fellow of The College of Medicine (2009) and currently its Vice-President. He was Chairman of Rapid Trauma and Assessment (2000-06), the Personal Injury Forum of Bupa (2004-07). He is currently Chairman of Dr Newmans Clinic (2011-) and holds non exec directorships with Equity Red Star, Lloyds Syndicate and the Good Care Group .

Since 2015, Brünjes has been Chairman of English National Opera and since 2012 a member of the Southwark Cathedral Development Trust. He has also been Chairman of Lancing College since 2009 and was previously a Governor of Bedford Modern School (2004-07).

Brunjes is a regular writer, broadcaster, and lecturer.

Personal Life

Brunjes is married to the choreographer and director Jacqueline Storey. The couple have four children.
