The 2017 Peru flood was a natural disaster in Peru in which more than 100 000 homes were demolished, over 100 bridges washed out, and multiple roadways rendered inoperable.[2] Over 70 people have lost their lives as a result of the flooding.[3]. More than 500,000 people have been affected[4].
The flood, so far, has affected the coastal regions of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Ancash, Lima, Ica and Arequipa.
