Tsintaosaurus spinorhinus in Ou7x3Qs.png

Description: This illustration of Tsintaosaurus spinorhinus was created by Jonathan R. Wagner in 2001, and slightly modified digitally in 2017 to crop out other animals and remove a hypothetical, unsubstantiated spur from the back of the crest. It has never been published in any form. It constitutes a fair representation of the animal as reconstructed by Prieto-Marquez and Wagner, 2013. The crest-rostrum angle and the placement of the crest were revised in the 2013 article (see skeletal reconstruction in the Wikipedia entry), and I do not illustrate hadrosaurs with thick necks as in the other (lovely) reconstruction in the Wikipedia entry, but this illustration should otherwise provide readers with an adequate comparison of these two interpretations of the animal. I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain. This applies worldwide. Please feel free to reference the illustration and/ or these comments as J. R. Wagner, 2017, in the appropriate bibliographic style for a web entry.

Article To Be Used On/Reason For Upload: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsintaosaurus, the talk page requests an updated reconstruction. Given the significant differences in the new interpretation of the skull, this seems like a reasonable request. As one of the authors of the paper revising the reconstruction, it seems incumbent upon me to provide an illustration, especially since I happen to have one handy. Please feel free to contact me to confirm any details you require. My apologies if I entered the Link to License Information incorrectly; that bit was confusing! Thank you for your time!

This request will be declined as the file is already available on Commons. It was just under a meaningless name (File:20050421-5 wf1g0202jas-515h.jpg). I have requested a rename and will close this and place the image on the requested pages once that is done. --Majora (talk) 03:47, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
