Born on 30th October 1984 in the Thrissur district of Kerala state, Omar started his film career after his studies from the Royal College of Engineering and Technology in Akkikavu, Thrissur. His primary education was from De-Paul school, Choondal. {{citation needed|date=August 2017}} He runs his own construction company aside his film career.

Omar Lulu (Omar Abdul Wahab) is an Indian director. He made his debut with the Malayalam movie Happy Wedding.

He debuted with the film Happy Wedding which had SharafudheenSoubin Shahir, Siju Wilson, and Justin John in the lead roles . His second film, Chunkzz, starring actress Honey Rose,[1][2] released in August 2017.

Achievements

His directional debut Happy Wedding has crossed 100 days[3][4] of successful shows and 13.7 crores in box office collection. Despite the lack of prominent film stars. Less than 40 directors have reached more than 100 days in their first attempt. He also introduced at around 35[5] new actors debut. Despite this, Omar did not have any previous background related to the film industry; he had studied directing and related topics from online tutorials.[6] He received plenty of support from prominent personalities in the Malayalam Film industry including producer Listin Stephen.[5]
