Mahmud Kot is famous due to the shrine of Khaja Mian Muhammad Hussain Panwar Chishti, was the khalifa of Qibla Alam Hazrat Khaja Noor Muhammad Maharvi[1]. Great Scholar Hazrat Mian Khaliq Dad Altaf and Great educationist Syed Akbar Hussain Shah belong to this city.
