Honestly, there's not a lot of information out there about this rather obscure tribe. They might not be much more than a local clan. But the [[Obudu] page mentioned them as being the hosts of the LGA capital, and I did find one scientific article.

The Bette are a Bantu people inhabiting the Obudu area of Cross River State, Nigeria. [1]

The Bette are one of five tribes inhabiting the area, along with the Utugwang, Alege, Ukpe and Ubang.[2]
