Kevin Love is a high school basketball player from Lake Oswego, OR who is generally regarded as one of the top two players in the nation from the class of 2007. He will be starting his senior year in the fall of 2006 at Lake Oswego High School, and has declared that he intends to play for UCLA after graduating high school.

In 2006, Love led Lake Oswego to its first-ever Oregon state high school basketball championship, defeating South Medford 59-57, and fellow national standout Kyle Singler.

Love is a two-time Oregon player of the year and scored over 800 points in the 2005-2006 season. His skills have brought on similar, though not quite equal, amounts of publicity and buzz as that received by high school prodigy LeBron James. Kevin Love and Lake Oswego will play Redmond High School (Oregon) on February 6, 2007 at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon. The game will be carried live on ESPN.

Love is 6 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds. His father, Stan Love, played for the Baltimore Bullets and the Los Angeles Lakers in the early 1970s. Love is also a nephew of Mike Love of The Beach Boys.
