If you continue to block evade, you will be indefinitely blocked.

:Note to reviewing admin - I blocked an IP a few days ago, since then every day a new IP appears on my talk page to 'warn' me. Today, it was a named account, this one. There was no discussion - he hilariously threatened to demop me. Upon reviewing editing patterns, particularly in relation to the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 article, and looking at edit summaries etc., it's a clear case of WP:DUCK. As the original IP remains blocked, as do the subsequent IPs (per WP:DENY), this account has also been involved in block evasion, hence this block. ::I've made a bunch of perfectly legitimate edits before. Why the heck would I suddenly start acting like a troll now, exactly? This seems like a massive violation of common sense to me. Also I wasn't "threatening" to do anything to you, it was a warning. But whatever do what you want. --Astralyu (talk) 11:45, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

:::You've been warned for disruptive editing before (you have just removed the warnings from your talk page - no idea why you edit in the manner you do. GiantSnowman 14:46, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

::::Expanding on my decline rationale for when this goes to WP:SPI: the harassment on GiantSnowman's page is all from IPs in the range 2A02:C7F:3A2B:3B00::/64. The edit that Astralyu restored here is the same as one contributed by an IP in the same range here two months earlier. At that time in September, Astralyu and the IP user were the only two editors emphasizing the particular point of view of that edit, and the only two who commented on the talk page about the same, minutes apart in both cases. Both also have a penchant for revert warring. In the last week the IPs posted a templated disruptive editing warning on GiantSnowman's page , then edit-warred over several days to put it back after GiantSnowman blanked it, while also revert warring at Mark Evans (footballer, born 1970). After the last of the IPs was blocked Astralyu dropped in minutes later, having never edited the article nor GiantSnowman's talk page, with another warning about a policy that doesn't exist.
::::Two side notes:
::::#users removing these sorts of templated notices is explicitly allowed by the talk page guidelines: ""
::::#GiantSnowman you haven't actually explained why you reverted this edit any of the 6 times you've reverted it (counting the first revert in 2014), as far as I can see. I mean, I think I know why, but it is up to you to explain why you're reverting if you're not reverting clear vandalism. Not that it's anything close to an excuse to have to endure harassment because of it; I fully endorse your block(s) notwithstanding WP:INVOLVED, just saying, you should explain when asked.

:::::I don't take issue with what's been decided. However I just want to explicitly state, for the record, that the second side point made is the exact reason I become irate with GiantSnowman. Not to state this an an excuse for anything I did, I just want to let this be known for the record, as I said: I explicitly said multiple times to GiantSnowman about how he undid the edits without giving a reason as to why. This isn't the first time I've had this personally happen to me, nor is it the first time I have seen it happen either, where admin; or any other user for that matter, has undone edits which were not clear vandalism/gibberish without giving a clear reason why. No real excuse for what I did, but this is something I find to be a persistent problem. And the fact that GiantSnowman explictely didn't bother giving a reason even after I brought the point up, annoyed me to the extent where I became irrationally irate. Not an excuse, like I said. But that's where I was coming from. But I'm fine with the decisions made either way. Have a good day. --Astralyu (talk) 16:47, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

:::::Ivanvector many thanks for your wise comments. Regarding the actual reasons I was reverting, I issued templated warnings for the original IP (which is standard practice) and left further details for the third. I usually don't do that with block evading, per WP:DENY. If that was not sufficient, then apologies, I'll bear in mind for any future incidents. GiantSnowman 16:51, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
::::::GiantSnowman thanks, I didn't see any of that, and if the IPs' edit summaries are to be trusted it seems they didn't either. I'm sure templated warnings for IPs are fine by policy but when dealing with someone who's rapidly dumping blocked IPs (especially IPv6 because they change so rapidly anyway) you can probably safely assume they're not looking at their talk pages in between and probably not getting your notices. My own practice is to explain on the article talk page instead, and/or revert at least once with a summary like "rv trivia" so at least there's some immediate indication of what's going on, and then subsequently "rv per WP:EVADE" if necessary.
