History
Sonalika made a humble beginning in the year 1969 when India launched ‘The Green Revolution’ in order to become self-sufficient in food grain production. In order to achieve this goal Sonalika made its foray with manufacturing High quality ‘Wheat Thresher’. SONALIKA AGRO INDUSTRIES CORPORATION started its journey with this simple idea to manufacture some load carrying implements for agricultural needs. Having met with huge success in this venture, the customers requested them to manufacture agricultural tractors.
Going by the tremendous response of farmers for a user friendly and reasonably priced tractor, Sonalika ITL launched its tractor operations in 1996 under the name International Tractors Limited. Today, it is the third largest tractor manufacturing company in the country with a global presence in more than 90 countries.
In this journey, Sonalika ITL has joined hands with some of the world’s leading companies like, Renault, Class and currently with Yanmar of Japan to bring the most updated technology to India. Today, Sonalika has build World’s No.1 Integrated Tractor Manufacturing Plant in Hoshiarpur which has a huge production capacity of 3 lakh tractors.

1969- Modest beginning as farm equipment manufacturer
1995- Stepping into Tractor Manufacturing
1996- Sold its first tractor, manufacturing plant started in Hoshiarpur, Punjab
2000- JV with Renault Agriculture of France and Class tractors of Germany
2001- Started in-house manufacturing of tractor engines
2005- Became the 4th largest tractor manufacturer of India. Tied up with Yanmar of Japan. First compact tractor Baagban launched
2008- Rx series tractor launched
2009- Marketing of Worldtrac tractors started. Developed Diesel saver unit. Generator set and crane manufacturing started
2011- Launched GardenTrac and 60 Rx MM Super tractors
2012- Increased Global Footprints to over 60 countries
2013- New ultra-modern plant for manufacturing rotavators and combined engine inaugurated. Launched AC cabin tractor
2014- Becomes 3rd largest tractor manufacturer of India, Launched Worldtrac 110 and Worldtrac 60 tractors, increased its presence to 75 countries.
2015- Launch of HDM (Heavy Duty Mileage) series of tractors. Global presence increased to 80 countries
2016- Production in State-of-the-art integrated manufacturing unit to commence
2017- Inaugurated World’s No. 1 Integrated Tractor Manufacturing Plant in Hoshiarpur with 3 lakh production capacity
