The images were public. Again, first contribution so I just labeled them as my own as that is what I was reading to do per a google search of inputting wiki contributions. No need to be so harsh. I am sure we are both adults here. I will happily receive any advice so that as I create more contributions I will not have these issues in the future for any other contributions made. I do see that if paid to make a wiki site (which is the case for this CEO and also making one for the company which was my next venture, it needs to be listed as such so I will read that article that is listed above to do that. If you have any other advice to give, again, I am all ears (eyes). Thanks much. |

Hello, Nickybetsch. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2601:188:180:11F0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 14:38, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
I have no affiliation to the contribution. I will make the appropriate edits as this was my first contribution and I need to obviously learn how to write a proper wiki page.
- No affiliation huh? So how exactly did you hear about the subject, and gain access to promotional images not otherwise available online, and all the information in the article that's not available anywhere in the sources? At least in the images, you claim that they're your own work, meaning that you took the pictures. So either you're lying when you say the images are your own work, or you are lying when you say you have no affiliation with the subject. GMGtalk 14:45, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
