Regarding my edit to the "transphobia" article: I apologise if I am using the wrong procedure for leaving a message. My edit was intended to move that article in the direction of a more, not less, neutral point-of-view from that around which it appears to be built. The word "transphobia" is, it seems to me, inherently question-begging. My regards, and thank you.

Sexual Revolution

That paragraph about Hefner sounds like it was written by his PR department. He didn't change the culture although he liked to say he did. There have always been porn magazines. There have always been men's clubs. His was just a different style. More accessible to middle class men. He was a good marketer. That doesn't mean that he actually changed attitudes about sex. Helen Gurley Brown was a bigger influence on the sexual revolution. Hefner doesn't belong in that article.
