James Hype (born 26 November 1989) is a DJ, producer and remix artist from Liverpool, England.[1][2]

He is best known for his single "More Than Friends", released by Warner Music on 7 July 2017. The single reached number 8 in the UK Top 40[3] and number 1 in the UK dance singles chart.[4]

Before chart success, James made his name producing remixes for international artists including OT Genasis and Clean Bandit[5] He is also a DJ ambassador for the equipment manufacturer Pioneer DJ featuring in their online videos.[6]

He also presents a late night radio show on Thursday nights on KISS FM, specialising in House music.
