Chap's first album, "Bouille de lune" (Moon Face), came out in 2005 on the Polydor label.[1][2][3][4] That same year, during a performance in Paris, she threw herself backwards onto the drummer in a demonstrative gesture.[5] Called "Ma lueur clown" (My Glow Clown), her second Polydor album came out three years later and included a duet with Belgian singer Arno, as well as a cover of Prince's song "Controversy".[6][7][8] In 2008, she also wrote the lyrics of "Je me souviens de tout" (I Remember Everything), a song specially created for French icon, singer and actress Juliette Gréco.[9][10][11][12][13][14]

In 2009, Chap was one of the performers at a music festival held in Rambouillet, France, which also included Marianne Faithful.[15] Her third album, with the English title "Valley of Joy", was released in 2013 and was self-produced.[16] She has explained her abrupt style of writing to having grown up in family of farmers who did not speak much. Music and writing became a way for her to express herself.[17]

In , she was accepted into an artist residency program in Quebec, Canada.

Awards and Honours

In 1996, the "Creative Retirement Learning Centre" awarded Dryden an Honourary Lifetime Membership for her volunteer work.[18] In 2017, Manitoba's "Educators of Business Information Technology" (EBIT) dedicated a special evening to Dryden, honouring her contributions to education.[19][20] Lea Mansell, from the EBIT, credits Dryden as being "the impetus for business education to become a recognized course at Red River Community College and later a degree course in University of Manitoba."[21] Earlier in 2000, the EBIT also established a cash prize in Dryden's name which is awarded to business teacher graduates.[22]

Additionally in 2017, the Manitoba Teachers’ Society honoured Dryden with a special evening and profiled her in their magazine's March issue.[23] That same year, the City of Winnipeg presented her with a Community Service Award [24][25][26][27][28] and she also received the "Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers" from the Governor General of Canada, Julie Payette.[29]

In medieval times, silk was grown at the Dečani Monastery as well as near Prizren.

Silk came to Serbia in the sixth century, the arrival of a silkwoman in the Byzantine Empire during Emperor Justinian, through two monks. Duds and silkworms were mostly cultivated in the central part of the then country, later called Old Serbia, today's Macedonia and southern and central Serbia. The silkworms were preserved in these parts during the Ottoman Empire. During the great migration of Serbs, under the leadership of Arsenije Carnojevic , the silkmanship arrives for the first time in today's Vojvodina, which later became part of the Hazburg monarchy under the influence of the Venetian school of silk, which through its inspectors controls the entire production of silk throughout the empire, until the separation of Lombardy and Venice during the Revolution of 1848, when the Great Serbian Voivodeship, which takes over and promotes silk in the territory of the counties of Bodruška, Torontalska, Tamiška and Kraševska as well as the Roman and Illyk County of the County of Srem. Also in the then Kingdom of Serbia, the Law on Privileges to the Slavic Society from Belgrade was signed with the branch office in Lapovo, not only through the improvement of the quality of these two institutions in Serbia, but also with the distribution of free seed of silk bugs. This enabled the biggest rise of our silence in 1930. At that time, the largest production fell to Pančevo, Novi Sad and Novi Kneževac.
