A food dessert is when a stretch of land has no healthy food options or maybe none at all. I've chosen the article Food deserts by country because I feel strongly about food deserts for all people but this article clearly focuses on America. I want to add information to Australias sub-category included in the article that only got a sentence about their food deserts and give them the representation they deserve.I also want to suggest some ways that the food desserts could be removed or reduced in size by implementing laws or that prevent the possibility of food deserts.

The topic of food deserts is important to human rights because its forcing people that have no other options to eat bad food for them due to financial reasons or transportation. And I believe not having access to fresh fruit and vegetables is a human rights issue that many people don't even notice.Which is another reason I chose the topic because it reflects what i want to do as a career. I also want to bring attention to how lower income areas are actually much more prone to inhabit food deserts even in other countries. So far I have done my research bases of census reports and maps of food deserts to compare the locations to the wealth gaps.

A food dessert is when a stretch of land has no healthy food options or maybe none at all. I've chosen the article Food deserts by country because I feel strongly about food deserts for all people but this article clearly focuses on America. I want to add information to Australia's sub-category included in the article that only got a sentence about their food deserts and give them the representation they deserve.I also want to suggest some ways that the food desserts could be removed or reduced in size by implementing laws or that prevent the possibility of food deserts.
