"Meu Ritmo"
Song

"Meu Ritmo" (English: My Rhythm) is the first music video released by the Brazilian singer MC Loma. Originally released on the "Canal Descontraídas" YouTube Channel (the gêmeas lacração channel), the video went viral. The video was then deleted due to music copyright issues. Although the original music clip was recovered by the singer, there are still many other clips that are on other YouTube channels.

Music Video

At the beginning of the video, MC Loma and her dancers (her cousins and the gêmeas lacração[1]) are dancing in the line of a train. As the scenes pass, the singer is lying on a green background with a lipstick of the same color. In some scenes she dances alone in a bar and in one scene she is dressed as a DJ.

"Meu Ritmo" is a remix of the song with the same name by the Brazilian girl band, MC Loma e as Gêmeas Lacração and the Brazilian DJ Torricelli. This remix was selected by fans in a media campaign.[2]

Music Video

The Official Music Video was released and produced by the "Start World" channel. This YouTube channel belongs to the record label that would eventually sign the band. Like many of MC Loma's songs, this video is notable for its comedic elements differentiating from the song itself. To begin, the girls are eating desserts in a candy store. A couple (played by Brazilian YouTuber's Muca Muriçoca and Carol Dias) are arguing close to the girls because the boyfriend was paying more attention to the girls in the candy store than to her. Afterwards, the scenes change for MC Loma talking on her phone. The girl band is dancing while the DJ plays piano. At the end of the video, the man justifies not looking at his girlfriend because he wanted some sweets the singers were indulging in. In the end, the Brazilian journalist Dudu Camargo[3][1][4] records the girls sitting at the table while the couple stands with them. The couple eventually reconciles with each other and all are happy.

Deleted clip

The video clip was released on the "Start World" YouTube Channel, before the account was [hacked] and the video clip deleted.

Controversy

In the music video, Brazilian journalist Dudu Camargo makes a Guest Appearance at the end. A controversial figure at the time due to his involvement in the 2018 Primero Impacto controversy, he created significant public backlash. The "Start World" channel was hacked, likely as a result of this, with the Official Music Video of "Meu Ritmo" being taken down, only to be put back up the following day.[5]
