As an economy hub of the world and a city attracting millions of travelers every year, London will have a whole new landscape. Forster+Partners and J. Safra Group have submitted to the City of London the project of a new public culture attraction, The Tulip. |

The Tulip is named for its tulip bud shape exterior. It will be 305 meter tall and stand next to the 30 St Mary Axe, which is nicknamed “The Gherkin”. At the top of The Tulip, there are observatory and sky bridges for guests to appreciate the whole city throughout the windows. It further offers gondola pod rides on the building’s façade; traveler will feel excited while viewing the city in the air. J. Safra Group also offers different lectures and tour guides in The Tulip, teaching the history and culture of London to students and travelers. The architecture is also equipped with photovoltaic energy cells, green walls and heating and cooling system with zero combustion technology. These successfully reduce the consumption of natural source and fulfill the goal of sustainable living. |
