Soundarya Sharma is an Indian actress and model, who works in Hindi films. She was raised in New Delhi by her parents. While growing up, Soundarya pursued Bachelor of Dental studies and went on to pursue residency opportunities in a couple of hospitals in Delhi. It was during this time when she got auditions that led her to the city of Mumbai. Once in the city, she realized she wanted to pursue acting as a career. She has undergone formal training with the ACT 1 theatre group and the National School of Drama.[citation needed]
Career
Soundarya played the lead role in film Ranchi Diaries which was produced by Anupam Kher. The film released in October, 2017 and Soundarya was nominated for the ‘Best Female Debutant’ by Zee Cine Awards[1] and Star Screen Awards. She bagged the 'Best Debutante' at the Jharkhand International Film Festival[2].
Recently, the actress has also launched her own production house called Mustard and Red.[3] The young starlet, who is a favorite amidst paparazzi's bagged the Lokmat Most Stylish Diva Award in 2018 [4] In 2019, she has gone on to bag the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award as the 'Face of the Year.' [5]
