Xiong Jing Nan (Chinese: 熊竞楠; born January 12, 1988) is a Chinese mixed martial artist. She is the reigning ONE Strawweight Championship. She is the first ever Chinese champion in ONE Championship history.

Background

Xiong was born in Jining. She started out in boxing and earned a spot on Shandong’s provincial team, claimed third place in the 2007 National Women’s Boxing Championship. She won 'lots of medals' but decided to give up boxing and take up MMA. [1] [2] [3]

Mixed martial arts career

Early career

Xiong made her professional MMA debut in 2014. She fought primarily in Kunlun Fight and amassed a record of 10-1 before signing with ONE Championship

ONE Championship

Xiong made her promotional debut on December 9, 2017 at ONE Championship: Warriors of the World beating April Osenio.

ONE Strawweight Champion

Xiong faced Tiffany Teo for the title on January 20th, 2018 at ONE Championship: Kings of Courage. She stopped the Singaporean in the fourth round at to win the ONE Strawweight Championship belt. She has successfully defended the title against Laura Balin and Samara Santos Cunha. At ONE Championship: A New Era she became the first fighter to ever beat Angela Lee [4].
