Speedy deletion of :Lucia Zarate
A tag has been placed on :Lucia Zarate requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding <code>hangon</code> to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> ukexpat (talk) 01:49, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the compliments. There seems to be a lack of good source material or references that I can use to cite it. The moody park riots, as it currently stands, seems to be far too slanted for my tastes. Been looking for a bit, just haven't had time. --Hourick (talk) 07:29, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Davemcarlson! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current article backlog. == Finnish parliamentary election 2011, give your thoughts... ==

Hi! Seems like you've been involved in writing about the US elections. Therefore, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the talk page of the article Finnish parliamentary election, 2011. To the point: I re-wrote the first sentence of the article, because I thought it was somewhat poor English. Afterwards, my edits have been reverted, on (IMO) dubious grounds... I'd like to hear your opinion! :) Regards. -- Frous (talk) 05:23, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Revision as of 16:17, 14 October 2019

Welcome!

Hello, Davemcarlson, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place helpme on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Deiaemeth 04:57, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

I just wanted to thank you for the barnstar you left on my user talk page. The situation over at Talk:DSM cautionary statement was starting to seem a little tiresome and pointless, so I greatly appreciated your recognition. Incidentally, if you do agree with my position about that article, you may want to give your opinions on the talk page, although hopefully the situation will be resolved soon (fingers crossed). Thank you again for the kind compliments. Happy editing! –Sommers (Talk) 12:38, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2007 NBA Draft

Hi, I was wondering what your source was for the 8.4% number in the draft lottery section of 2007 NBA Draft. I've tried to cite it, but I couldn't find it through a quick Google News search. Thanks. --Ytny (talk) 12:15, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response. I'm actually not sure how to cite it. I mean, nobody's going to say 1+1=2 is original research, but this one isn't as simple. And I'm not sure who I'd ask. I think your math is right, so I'm just going to leave it as is, and we can worry about it if someone objects. Cheers. 19:21, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
On second thought, I think showing the math in the footnote inside might be helpful. --Ytny (talk) 19:37, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Many thanks for the kind words accompanying the barnstar you awarded me! All the best Wikigreetings from --Janke | Talk 12:24, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of The Go-Getter (film)

I have nominated The Go-Getter (film), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Go-Getter (film). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Terry Long (basketball)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Terry Long (basketball), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add db-author to the top of Terry Long (basketball). 161.134.39.32 (talk) 17:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alicia Ross Article

Hi Dave, is it possible to cite the original news articles at all? Forums are normally to be avoided; while I don't doubt that the posts are straight copies of the original material, without any editorial oversight there's no guarantee. Anyway, I'll let you get on with it as you see fit! Marasmusine (talk) 14:50, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

I love my new Barnstar of Liberty! Thanks --Neutralitytalk 19:32, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Scott Fivelson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Wilder (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:38, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
