clean up questiton

in my opinion, the listing of the singles and EP's is important, though I don't feel it necessary to create files for all the singles and their track listings/lengths. I would assume to go ahead with creating files for the EP's, however, and moving the track listings over. PLEASE ADVISE.

• It's a complicated matter, but I would say that it's uncessary to place the EPs anywhere. Well, at least that's what I have done in Children of Bodom. The albums are vital, but EPs (specially Covenant's) just contain remixes and things like that. In my opinion, axe it. It's useless clutter. Anyway, are you are going to take the role of the "official" mantainer of Covenant? If you are, congrats. Thanks for the input, as for official maintainer... no. i started with Covenant becasue it seemed the easiest to 'fix', i really don't listen to them that much, not saying that i wouldn't mind getting more of their stuff. Would it be more convenient to make one page listing all the tracks and such rather than have individual pages for everything? A setup like that would likely be more easily browsable and readable. Joshfist 18:27, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Well, I think the standard way to have pages for albums on Wikipedia includes an album pages, with an "album infobox" and an album template in the discussion secion of the article. An example is X Marks the Pedwalk's Drawback (album), the entire chronology of which I've been working on for awhile, but this particular article is nicely detailed!The-dissonance-reports 21:18, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Oh yeah, and there are some articles about a single song only, but usually those are reserved for very popular songs (i.e., stuff by the Beatles, etc.) Elvis and Celine Dion have their own discography pages, but also individual pages for their albums. I've been working on a similar project with Wumpscut, titled, List of Works by Rudy Ratzinger. Anyway, there is no reason why we cannot have a combination of at least lists and individual album pages, Covenant has enough material to warrant both.The-dissonance-reports 21:23, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Simple permission isn't good enough. You need to get the image released under a free license such as the GFDL or a Creative Commons license. --Carnildo 03:50, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

I made the changes you suggested to the links contained in the Velvet Acid Christ article. Your idea makes more sense.

If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You're right on the colours... orange just seemed wrong for an industrial band somehow... I'll likely infobox more of the albums in the next couple days. I'll take a closer look at that page you mentioned for X Marks the Pedwalk... on first look it looks pretty thorough. I've only skimmed, but I did look at the references, and I've mostly seen them used as in-line references with <ref>...</ref> tags used in the body so that the reference / endnote links back up into the body (Wikipedia:Citing_sources). I'll add it to my watchlist and make a couple edits this week. -- Xinit 04:01, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Wumpscut Albums

Just came across the List of works by Rudy Ratzinger article, and cleaned that up and began work on this project you mentioned already. Seems to me, however, that there isn't enough info on quite a bit of :w:'s discography, so I took the liberty of getting in touch with Rudy and arranging a Q&A for trivia and general info, as well as the rights to post each and every album cover on www.wumpscut.de.
