Apologies
I'm sorry about my recent edits to Pierre-Jean De Smet. It was an honest mistake - I thought what I was reverting was repeated vandalism, not repeated correction of vandalism. &dorno rocks. (talk) 18:45, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Piranha II
Hi, please could you explain to me why you keep deleting my contribution to the Piranha II page? I think that I am making a very interesting point, and one which makes the film more enjoyable to watch. It's very disappointing, after spending a lot of time trying to write it as clearly and professionally as I can, to find that no more than 2 minuets after I have posted it, you have already deleted it. As you say, it is not vandalism, so please explain to me why you repeatedly keep deleting my contribution? I am merely trying to add my bit to this wonderful wed-site. If I am doing sometime wrong please tell me, I would appreciate the help.

Sincerely,

James

PS. I am sorry if I have written this in the wrong place, I am just learning how to use Wikipedia. <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.235.118.152 (talk) 01:29, 2 August 2010 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

Same Same But Different
Hello! I was looking my watchlist and I saw that an IP changed something. So when I saw, was the same guy that you undid the edition. We did it again and I would like to know if there's a way that we can block the IP(s), since he/she's not going to stop editing the same thing all the time.

Frosty, Heidi and Frank edits
Your edits to the FHF article were unnecessary because non of the things you removed were libelous. They were things that have been stated on the show many times by the hosts. They can not be referenced because they were never put down in print. I don't see any way of referencing on air conversations except through listener verification. I am also in the process of reverting edits done by 128.125.230.152 as his edits were also unnecessary. Dr. Morbius (talk) 18:57, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Project Iowa
Hi VkiI, I recently promoted myself as a patroller of Iowa's communities articles and you came onto my radar by joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Iowa. I had a good chuckle reading your userpage (especially your footnote #1). I too have been battling vandalism in my short time as a Wikipedia editor. I do not know your method of anti-vandalism as mine is a specifically designed watch list developed by a mentor of mine to be just Iowa communities. From your entry on the Project Iowa page, I hope I can enlist you to join the developing division called Communities (pre-named and previously red-linked). Keep up the good fight. <br>

Ypsilanti Food Co-op
A good cleanup may help, but don't expect the house to build itself. If you can be bothered to say "keep but cleanup", you can be bothered to at least try a cleanup. <span style="color:green">Ten Pound Hammer</span>, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 01:55, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
:It is fair to recognize that an article needs cleanup even if one knows so little about the topic that one cannot do the cleanup personally. ::And the same thing happens every time. Four years after everyone spams the AFD with "keep but expand", the article hasn't improved one iota. Hi, thanks for catching the typo. Should this be styled "Steamboat Pirate" rather than "Steamboat Pirate"? The former is how you originally had it prior to my edit.--NapoliRoma (talk) 22:51, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Per your comment on my talk page: I didn't mean to imply that I wanted to change the wording again -- just how the phrase was italicized. == 5-part in five O'Brian novels ==

That is useful to know about the circumnavigation of the world in five novels. You added that to the lead of each novel's article. Perhaps you could add a brief section in each of the articles as well? Just thinking that the lead should highlight the article, and that is not said in the articles. There is the Continuity section, but that deals with time in the novel versus time in the real world of history, a separate topic from where they went. Just a notion. --Prairieplant (talk) 02:13, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at :Martin High School (Arlington, Texas). Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Your edit summary claiming this material has been repeatedly removed by bad-faith editors is a person attack. I looked at more than one and one-half years of edits to this article and I do not see where this material has been removed before. If it was in the article before then and has been removed repeatedly then clearly it needs to be discussed on the article's talk page. The only mention I found of this incident in this article was a year ago in an attempt to add a non-notable alumnus to the article, and that edit was correctly removed by user:John from Idegon. If that was the previous mention you refer to then your edit summary is extremely misleading. We don't add non-notable alumni simply in an attempt to discuss an event they wrote about. The event did not happen at the school. It did not happen at a school function. I don't think it belongs in the school article, but that's what a discussion on the article's talk page will determine. And you might want to be a bit more careful with your referencing. One of your refs is a dead link, and a second one is to an article that had a major error that had to be withdrawn (the school's enactment of a draconian anti-drinking policy supposedly because of this incident, and that was overturned by the court, actually happened years before the incident in question)<!-- Template:uw-npa2 --> Meters (talk) 20:30, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
:Please read WP:BRD and discuss the material on the article's talk page. Don't continue to restore contested material. Meters (talk) 20:36, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
:: I have reviewed wp:No personal attacks No reasonable person would conclude that stating that a past edit by an unnamed contributor was done in bad faith would constitute a personal attack. In the future would encourage you to review wp:Wikipedia:Gaming the system before lobbing accusations of this sort. As for the relevance to the school, all of the referenced articles are about the culture of the school and how it may have contributed to the sexual assault. The article currently reads like a public relations article produced by the school board, and completely ignores how innumerable national news outlets have covered the school. If you don't like this section, you may edit to improve it, but please don't delete it.Edgar Vekilnik, Jr. (talk) 20:58, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
:::Your summary stated "Replacing discussion of 2006 assault which has been repeatedly removed by bad-faith editors" I saw no previous removals of this material in this form, only the fully justified removal of a non-notable alumni entry that mentioned the incident by user:John from Idegon. So, your edit summary appears to be a personal attack on John. If there were previous removals of this material (entered as the school's history rather than as end run attempt to add it in a notable alumnus entry then please link to the edits. If there were no such previous removals it appears that is is you who are attempting to game the system with your edit summary. If there were previous attempts to add this material that have been removed then, again, the material was contested and should have been discussed on the article's talk page. Whether it was or not, it is now contested, and must be discussed on the article's talk page. If there is consensus to add it as is or in a modified form, fine. If there isn't it stays out.
:::And please read WP:EW in case you consider restoring this again with prior consensus to include the material. Meters (talk) 21:22, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
:I am asking you nicely, stay off my talk page. Do not add any more comments. Do not reply to this one. Good day. Edgar Vekilnik, Jr. (talk) 21:33, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
