Munjane (English : Dawn) is a 2012 released Kannada romantic drama film starring Ganesh and Manjari Phadnis. The film was written, produced and directed by S. Narayan, who also composed and written the songs and also acted in the film. Dharma Vish has scored the background music. Narayan's wife, Bhagyavathi Narayan has produced the venture under his home banner. Jagadish Wali is the cinematographer. The film opened across Karnataka cinema halls on 2 March 2012.[1] The film was dubbed and released in Telugu as Journey 2 in 2016.[2]

Critical reception
The film met with mixed reviews from the critics all over. IBNLive.com gave the film 2 stars out of 5 saying, "The biggest flaw in the film is the climax. It looks as if the director who is also the story writer, does not know anything about networking sites like Facebook. So the way the climax unfolds is utterly laughable". Further it declares that, "On the whole, it looks like Ganesh's performance is the only saving grace of 'Munjaane'. Otherwise it is another average fare".[3] Indiaglitz.com gave the movie a positive 6.5 stars out of 10 saying, "Yet another studious approach without missing the family elements reputed director S Narayan gives a 'Pleasant Surprise' in 'Munjane'".[4]
