In the English language, Desolation islands were the old name of [[Kerguelen Islands]]. Taking into account that these islands are very far away from any inhabited place in the world (the closest land is Antarctica, some 2000 km to the south), that was a very appropriated name. --Fev 21:00, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

In the English language, Desolation islands were the old name of Kerguelen Islands. Taking into account that these islands are very far away from any inhabited place in the world (the closest land is Antarctica, some 2000 km to the south), that was a very appropriated name. --Fev 21:00, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
