Neutrality & Possible Propaganda

The fact that there are "no complaints" from a prison National Geographic calls "one of Russia's toughest" seems quite suspiscious to me. Bent over in shackles, blindfolded, denied any contact to the outside world (save a radio) — someone tell me how this is not some sugarcoated apolagetics for blatant human rights abuses at this place. As a matter of fact, I'll do more research into the prison right now and make some edits and additions on human rights violations to help lessen this probable NPOV violation, lack of balanced treatment of the topic and possible subversion of Wikipedia's policy against paid editing (if some of the edits stem from one or more Russia's intelligence agencies, that would be completely unacceptable for obvious reasons). That said, I'm fully committed to working with other Wikipedians on this and I do not want this to turn into a one person crusade or rant. Jamutaq (talk) 18:21, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

Even at best, the "no complaints" is a red herring. Even if would be technically true that a bureaucrat somewhere might be able to massage the "confirmed complaint" number down to zero, *every* prison of this size gets regular complaints, including some of the most humane prisons in the Nordic countries. If there's "no complaints", it must mean that the complaint system is broken.

One option is to add a source to who says that there are "no confirmed complaints" to make it more neutral, or which instance would be responsible of providing "confirmed complaints" number. If that's not possible, it could be changed to "confirmed number of complaints is not available" --88.115.22.34 (talk) 17:18, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

The article mentions "political prisoners" in Black Dolphin; can anyone please tell me who is meant exactly? (As far as I am informed the prison is for felons of violence only)

Confused about the reference 4.

Isn't the NPR article talking about a different prison? The article talks about Vladimir Central and Kopeisk prison, but says nothing about Black Dolphin. Also, several other things are wrong. This Wikipedia article says that Gladkov said he was taken from the showers and beaten unconscious. However, it was a different former prisoner saying this in the NPR article, and there were several details wrong about it. Kopeshk (talk) 01:09, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
