Draft:Yoasobi

Why did you ignore that a draft existed for Yoasobi before making it? You could have moved the draft to the mainspace and expanded upon it. I noticed you worked on the page in your sandbox before making the article in mainspace, but when you went to create the page, you would have seen the notice that a draft existed for the page, created by another user (Swift68). Granted, the draft is nothing special, but building upon the work of other editors is the core of Wikipedia and you could have chosen to do this. (I have turned off pings. I will check for a reply.) I had finished my version in my sandbox at the time I noticed the draft existed. My reasoning at the time was that 1) the draft was basically a stub and didn’t have anything my version didn’t cover 2) Swift68 hasn’t worked on the draft in almost a week. Why did you revert my addition to the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign page?

I added a link to a list of companies/startups launched by Alumni/Faculty/Students from UIUC. It is crowdsourced and validated to ensure accuracy. The feedback is that it is not suited for an encyclopedia, which does not make sense to me since it is a validated list and has a mechanism to ensure accuracy.

I reviewed the guidelines provided for links and did not see anything on there that the link seemed to break.

@Anon2490n: You were reverted for our external links guideline at Wikipedia:External links, which states that inline external links are not to be added. Google Adds New Languages to Google Translate

In late February, Google added 5 new languages to Google Translate: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. This expands our ability to find and evaluate sources in those languages.

@Kotruv: I've reverted a bunch of other links you and people before you added. We really want to keep the external links section to a mininum: usually, the official website of the subject is enough. Niles’ Register is not an encyclopedia. It is a newsweekly that was published from 1811 to 1849. To find references in in to a person, place, or thing, you need a cumulative index. The link I inserted (below) directs researchers to a useful index.

By the way, the Wikipedia article for Niles’ Register includes a political cartoon that is attributed to certain issues of Niles’ Register. However, the Register never included political cartoons -- or any illustrations.

Per WP:EL, inline externa links should not be added. Your link would actually be welcomed in a "External Links" section at the bottom of the page. As for the cartoon, if you have access to any Niles' Register paper and could provide a scan of it (like at Daily Worker or National Police Gazette), that would greatly help the article's quality. Why did you erase the "fact" that the hords that nowadays control the streets of many American cities have vandalized the statute of Cervantes in San Francisco?

I can understand that you are one of the Americans ashamed of the hords of ignorant Californians that have taken the control of the streets and that, problably, will take the control of the government soon... But the reality is that they have vandalized the statue of Cervantes believing he is a fascist (3 centuries before fascism was invented!!), while the majority of Californias agree from their homes, ignore who Cervantes was and what is fascism or are terrified by demonstrators.
