Controversy

Brothers has been involved in a number of controversial games, including the 2015 NBA Finals, which drew the attention of Tim Donaghy, who questioned Brothers' refereeing.[5] In the 2018 NBA Finals, Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue said the referee crew, which Brothers was a part of, "robbed" his team.[6] Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić has fouled out, or been ejected, in multiple games in which Brothers has been a referee.[7][8]
