Bashir Jamoh was born in Kaduna State, Nigeria.[1] He served as the current Director General (DG) of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), appointed by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.[2][3][4]

Education

Jamoh obtained his PhD from the University of Port Harcourt and also a Master's degree in Management from Korean Meritime and Ocean University. He therefore obtained a post-graduate diploma in Management Sciences from Bayero University,Kano, a diploma in Account from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.[5][6]

Career

Jamoh gained over 32 years experience in the Nigerian Transportation and Meritime Sector. In 2003 he joined NIMASA as an assistant chief commercial officer, estern and central zone. He worked with the Kaduna State government and also served in the National Meritime Authority 1994. He was appointed as Executive Director Admin and Finance at NIMASA in 2016.[2]
