Carter Milliken Reum (born February 5, 1981) is an author and entrepreneur.[1][2] He is most notable for founding M13 Ventures, an angel investment firm, and dating Paris Hilton.[3]

Career

Along with his brother, Courtney Reum, he co-founded and built VEEV Spirits,[4][5][6] a company listed in Inc. Magazine’s 500 fastest growing private companies in America.[7]

Reum was featured in episodes of the television series Hatched and has appeared as a guest and a commentator on a variety of networks including CBS and Fox. He is a contributing writer for Huffington Post and Inc. Magazine. He is the co-founder of the investment firm M13.[8][9][10]

In 2018 Random House imprint Penguin Books released Reum's first book, a co-authorship with his brother Courtney. Entitled Shortcut Your Startup: Ten Ways to Speed Up Entrepreneurial Success.[11][12] The book uses the Reum’s experiences to teach entrepreneurs how to reach their goals.[13] They pull from their experiences creating Veev and from the lessons learned through the years investing in companies like SpaceX, Lyft, Pinterest and Warby Parker.[14][15][16][17]

Personal life

His father, Robert Reum, was chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Chicago-based Amsted Industries, one of America's largest private companies ranked by Forbes.[18][19]

Reum graduated from Columbia College of Columbia University in 2003 as did his brother, Courtney, and sister, Halle.[20][21]

As of September 2020, Vogue published he was in a relationship with family friend Paris Hilton.[22] He has been in a relationship with the socialite and heiress since at least April.[23]
