Civic List (Lista Civica) is the name given to a party list presented at an Italian local election which has no official connection with a national political party and which campaigns on local issues. It can be compared to Free Voters in Germany.

Overview

Examples include La Tua Bologna (‘Your Bologna’), Lista per Trieste (‘List for Trieste’), Per Parma con Ubaldi (‘For Parma with Ubaldi’) and Gruppo Rinnovamento Partecipazione Solidarietà ('Renovation, Participation, Solidarity Group', a party list active in Lusigliè).

Such ‘non-party lists’ are most common in elections at the commune level; they may also be present in provincial and regional elections.
