Nubera (GetApp) (commonly known as GetApp) is a Barcelona, Spain-based app discovery company and network that develops and operates business applications like GetApp (a peer business review site),[3] AppStorm, AppAppeal, and CloudWork.[4][2] It was founded in 2010 by Christophe Primault and Manuel Jaffrin, French technology entrepreneurs. The company was acquired by Gartner in 2015, and operates as a subsidiary of Gartner's business review and software search network.[5]

History

Nubera (GetApp), also known as GetApp, was co-founded in 2010 in Barcelona, Spain by Christophe Primault and Manuel Jaffrin, French technology entrepreneurs with background in computer engineering and marketing.[6][3][7] Nubera started as a business app discovery network and its first flagship app was GetApp,[1] which provided advice and vertical search on different software categories and industries including: CRM, ERP, Accounting, project management, contract management, HR applicant tracking and retail software, among others.[3][8] Initially, it was bootstrapped[9] but later funded by Nauta Capital, a Spanish-American investment firm.[10]

In October 2012, Nubera acquired Tarpipe, a company that specialized in integrating cloud apps.[11] In 2013, Nubera launched a business listing for mobile section for iOS and Android devices.[12][13] According to TechCrunch, "by 2013, the app listed 5,000+ apps from 20,000 vendors including Basecamp, Salesforce, Dropbox and Zoho, among many others".[14] The company launched a number of other apps and searching tools such as GetApp Lab, AppStorm, AppAppeal and Cloudwork (a cloud apps integration platform)[15] that were integrated in its online marketplace.[5]
