"No Rain" is a song by Blind Melon. It was released in 1992 on their debut, eponymous album, Blind Melon and as a single. The music video depicted a "Bee Girl" played by Heather DeLoach. The Bee Girl (though not DeLoach) was also featured on the cover of the album.

An advertisement for the film Sideways, starring Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church and Virginia Madsen, featured No Rain. No Rain was also used in the movie Private Parts and is heard in the second season of the popular television show, "The O.C.", in an episode called 'Rainy Day Women'.

The newest commercial on TV network USA for the hit TV show, Monk, includes this song.

The music video begins with a young girl (Heather DeLoach) wearing a bee costume, tap dancing. When she finishes, she is met with laughter, to which she reacts by crying then running off the stage.

The song begins to play and the video switches in between a narrative of the innocent Bee Girl (performing her routine in various urban settings for whoever will watch) and footage of Blind Melon performing in a field of emerald green grass against a clear blue sky.

At the point in the song in which Shannon Hoon repeats the line 'escape', the Bee Girl has discovered a green field behind a large, imposing gate. When she opens the gate, she's met with the happy sight of other "Bee People" like herself, dancing carefree and she joins in. Thus the Bee Girl is no longer a misfit. Like the song indicates, she 'has it made'.

  • According to VH1's 100 Greatest Videos of All Time, Blind Melon's 'No Rain' is rated #22.
  • Heather DeLoach is featured in "Weird Al" Yankovic's song Bedrock Anthem, in full bee suit.
  • Contrary to popular belief, it is not DeLoach who appears in the bee costume on the cover of Blind Melon's debut album. It's actually the younger sister of Melon drummer Glen Graham.
  • Blind Melon frontman Shannon Hoon was purportedly under the influence of LSD whilst filming this video.
