Trivia
- In The Illuminatus! Trilogy, various characters become obsessed with occurrences of the number 23 in relation to important events and discuss its importance at great lengths, although this is not the central point of the books. It can also be found in the writings of William S. Burroughs and Aleister Crowley. For more occurrences, see the 23 enigma.
- Elisabeth Shue was originally cast in the female lead, but had to decline because she was pregnant.
- The movie has some similarities to the TV series Dark Oracle, as well as the film Stranger Than Fiction, which starred Will Ferrell.
