FlexiCom series

Tadiran make a range of products that suit customers of varying sizes from SME (Small Medium Enterprise) to large corporate customers. The FlexiCom series includes the 200,400,5000 & 6000 models which roughly relate to the number of ports that can be used on the system. All these systems run the same software and include the same features across the entire range enabling customers to upgrade with minimal cost. The Coral CMC is a tightly integrated customized version of the Active Voice Repartee for windows.

These systems, as opposed to the FlexiCom series, are all rack mountable. There is also the IPx Office which is an all-in-one box which includes an optional router and wireless LAN that enables a small business a complete solution. Again, all these systems run the same software and include the same features across the entire range enabling customers to upgrade with minimal cost.

However the IPx line uses three different size cards, one for the Office, a second for the IPx 500 and third for the IPx 800/3000/4000 which does reduce the value of upgrading to larger systems.

Coral Sea Softswitch

The Coral Sea Softswitch is a new product that has been designed from the ground up as a completely new product. Based on the SIP protocol, it provides for a complete VoIP solution. For connection to legacy TDM equipment, it uses a gateway and the IPx cabinets and continues to use existing hardware. This enables an existing Coral, FlexiCom or IPx customer to upgrade with minimal cost.

Discontinued/Renamed Products

The Coral family of systems has partially been discontinued or replaced with other products.

The Coral SL was renamed the FlexiCom 200. The Coral 1 was replaced with the FlexiCom 300 but has been discontinued. The Coral 2 was renamed the FlexiCom 400V (low density cabinet) which has been discontinued, or the FlexiCom 400 (high density cabinet) which is still available. The Coral 3, which came in different configurations was renamed the FlexiCom 5000 (single processor) or the FlexiCom 6000 (duplicated processors). The CMC (OS/2 based version) has been replaced with the CMC for Windows.
