Lopamudra R (Malayalam: ലോപമുദ്ര ആർ; 26 April 1978) is an Indian poet and translator writing in Malayalam language. Her works include Parasparam, Vykkol Pava, which has won various prestigious awards. She began writing poems at the age of 15 and became well known among literary circle at the age of 20. Lopa serves as an English teacher at the Government Higher Secondary School in Thrissur.[1]

Early life and education

Born in Ayaparampu Panchayat in Haripad on 1978 April 26, she is the daughter of late Muralidharan and Renuka. She inherited the literary affinity from her grandfather R K Kottarathil, who was a Harikatha artist and a teacher. He introduced her granddaughter to the world of poetry and expression. Lopa lost her father at the age of 3.

Career

Post completing her Masters degree in English literature and BEd, Lopa focused more in her literary works. She has written many poems in malayalam and translated many from English. Currently she serves as an English faculty at Alagappa Nagar Government Higher Secondary School in Thrissur.[2]
