If process guidelines are met, move categories to the appropriate section here to prepare to delete. Before deleting a category, ensure that it is empty.

Please help keep this page clean! Listings that have already been dealt with need to be removed quickly. When all of the entries in a category have been updated, move the listing to the "Ready for deletion" section for an administrator to finish.

Bots task pages are listed below. Tasks on those pages are being handled by the bot, and may or may not also be listed below. Section cleared out on 01:19, 12 January 2007 (UTC) because of lots of inactive bots still being listed. Re-add any bots that have done CFD work since the clear date.

To be emptied or moved

The following categories meet the requirements 1) for deletion but are not empty, or 2) for renaming/moving. You can still review discussions, which have been moved to archive pages (in particularly controversial cases, discussion may be left intact on this page instead). This section is meant to be a summary with no discussion. Some cleanup links have been moved to bots task pages listed above. You may find it helpful to use the software WP:AWB in re-categorisation.

Editors: Please take care to note whether or not the discussion suggests the category may need to be split among multiple destination categories, the category should be converted into a list, or there are any other special circumstances that preclude a bot from blindly implementing the decision.

  • I couldn't find the entries in Log/2006 December 5. In Log/ 2006 December 6 (Category:Chicago films), I see that User:Pegship has offered vote (Propose Renaming... Category:Chicago films to Category:Films set in Chicago), which is quite in accordance with what we are trying to do in WP Films Categorization. The same applies to to all the other categories (Rename to ..."set in"). So if this request for assistance is for additional voting, I vote Rename, as per User:Pegship.     • The entries in the first category need to be split into the two new ones. Most people who do the CfD work lack sufficient knowledge to determine if the film was shot or set in a location. We need editors more involved with films to split these out. Vegaswikian 21:00, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ready for deletion

The categories below meet the eligibility requirements for deletion at the top of this page. These categories have been de-populated, and any documentation of this decision completed. Administrators may delete these categories at will (do not delete the log page). If there is a particular category that is replacing the deleted category (redundant, misspelled, etc.) as noted below, that should be mentioned in the deletion log entry.

The category to be deleted is listed first, followed by the category that renders it obsolete.

Old by month categories with entries

This section lists old maintenance categories that should be empty but are not. This can result from incomplete nominations, bot errors, or pending manual work.
